Subsidized Stafford
Loans - Available to students who prove financial
need. You provide information (through the Free Application
for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form) which is used by the
college's financial aid office to determine financial need
based on your individual situation. The Federal Government
pays interest until student graduates or drops below half-time
status on Subsidized Stafford Loans.
Unsubsidized Stafford
Loans - Unsubsidized loans are available for student
who are unable to prove financial need. The Free Application
for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form is used by your college's
financial aid office to determine financial need.
PLUS Loans
- PLUS loans are available to creditworthy parents, adoptive
parents or spouses of a remarried parent of a dependent
undergraduate student who is enrolled at least half time
in an eligible institution. PLUS Loans cover the cost of
attendance, minus other financial aid. Parents are responsible
for repaying the PLUS loan; flexible repayment options are
available.
